The Astra Militarum 1k list for the team tournament is nearing completion! I just finished up a Leman Russ Punisher with Pask (I use a commissar), and a Leman Russ Vanquisher as his squad mate to help strip hull points. I'm using the same red/silver scheme as the rest of my list.
I'm going to magnetize the dozer blades on the front in case I don't want to use them in the game, plus they fit easier in the battlefoam pre-cut templates I have.
Next up on the painting docket is the Malcador Infernus and the Medusa and I'm done with the 1k for that list!

Guard Troops!
Finally got my first Imperial Guard (still can't get used to saying Astra Militarum) unit finished with the new paint scheme. This will be the obligatory troop unit for our guard list. The bases need some grass and dead leaf litter, I'll probably add all that in one evening.
For the sergeant, I used a head from Victoria Miniatures, and did a little weapon swapping to add the boltgun. I want to be able to identify the miniature easily in combat to make sure I'm not pulling the sergeant, so the different colored hat is helpful (especially for blobs).
Almost finished with my leman russ tanks, they're next on the docket! Adepticon is coming up so fast!

Thunder, Thunder, Thunder-Grav, HO!
Happy Valentine's day everyone. Thought I'd throw some red miniatures your way in honor of the holiday... well, red miniatures everyday since that's all I'm painting. Khorne Red has been a highly used commodity.
First off, here's the thunderfire cannon I finished up. Nothing too fancy, but it does the job. I try to go traditional colors for my specialist marines: Red = techmarines, white = apothecary, blue = librarians, gold = commanders.
I still need to add some leaf litter and grass to the bases. Same thing goes with my grav gun bikers and attack bikes. Since our adepticon team tournament army has a ton of grav guns and I really don't want to bit order every single one, I thought a conversion was in order. Since I'm a big necron player, I took a ton of the deathmark guns, and cut off the stock where the hand was holding. I then shortened up the gun, I think it looks like a cool looking specialist weapon and fits the whole grav gun idea.
Here are some more attack bikes, they really are calling for stuff to be added to the bases.
Next up I'm going to crunch through the imperial guard!

Vengence Weapon Battery
I don't know why, but I really like this model. It's a little repetitious to paint but turns out great. I'm keeping to my imperial theme and it's not a game changer on the board, but a great way to hold an objective and provide some anti flyer interceptor shots.
The clock keeps ticking on Adepticon, only a little over a month until d-day!

Necron Flayed Ones Conversion
I've been painting imperials like a mad-man for the Adepticon Team Tournament, but I needed a break with the cool new necron codex. This codex is so much fun. Outside of the Wraiths that are a little unbalanced, there are so many cool synergies and different ways you can play the codex.
I've always wanted to run flayed ones, they just weren't very good in the past. I'm trying to stay away from resin if at all possible since it's not very durable with a lot of playing so I went with some scratch built flayed ones. These aren't the prettiest conversions but they work!
I used a warrior box then replaced their hands with a small square of plastic sprue. Then I used strips of plastic and made the talons. I did some quick repositioning of the legs to make them a bit more dynamic, then went to town with a lot of greenstuff for the skin.
It's not the most elegant conversion, but it'll get them on the table.
